If your shower storage space is so cramped that you have to decide between using shampoo OR conditioner, then this post is for you.
No matter how much I try to minimize, I never have enough shelf space in my shower. Bottles end up collecting around the edges of the tub. They look like clutter. They get that funky mildew ring if they sit there too long (gross!), and they always get knocked off the edge or hidden behind the shower curtain, resulting in panicked groggy morning thoughts of, “Where the heck is my conditioner???”
Looks bad.
Makes a mess.
Wastes time.
BOO!
Of course, I am also quite picky about aesthetics. There are a few lovely over-the-shower-head caddies out there, but I wanted something that:
A.) Doesn’t hang from the shower head (it makes me feel claustrophobic & I don’t want my stuff to get soggy!)
B.) Doesn’t show through the curtain (and it doesn’t add visual clutter when I leave my shower curtain open)
C.) Doesn’t require a lot of maintenance (I am SO not trying to buy another item that needs special cleaning!)
D.) Saves space (nothing too bulky)
E.) Saves time (easy to see objects being stored, easy to use)
Simple enough, right?
Actually, yes! Check it out:
The one I have is made by Maytex (click here to check it out on Amazon)
Here’s what I love:
- It hangs from the shower rod on your shower curtain hooks
- I like the small size, but you can also find bigger ones
- The mesh pockets allow the water to drain out & dry quickly — no icky mildew or nasty water puddles!
- I can hang it at the back of my shower so it doesn’t get “rained” on as much
- From the outside, you can’t even see it! Our shower just looks nice & tidy & open (open, blank space really helps a tiny bathroom feel larger!)
- The fabric looks pretty easy to sew, too, so if you wanted to divide it into smaller pockets, you totally could
There are a ton of other styles out there, too! Here’s a huge one from Lowes that actually combines the curtain liner & the storage (warning: reviewers say to only store lightweight items so that you don’t rip the liner):
No more searches for lost bottles — hooray!!

So glad I found this blog…I just bought two of the above Maytex shower organizers from Amazon, following the link. I’m inspired to get organized!
Awesome! I hope it works for you! I love our little shower organizer bc it holds so much but it doesn’t feel like it takes up any space!
They have almost the exact same mesh storage holder from Dollar General for $2.50! I have it and was wondering what to do with it. Thanks so much!
Oooh, that is good to know!! Thanks, Brittany!
I’ve never seen anything like this, want! I followed you on BlogLovin. I also did a Linens and the Loo post and would be so delighted if you could follow my blog too

Happy Day!
Hi Ashlee! Thanks so much for stopping by & sharing!
Our shower has a glass door, but I may get one of these for my daughters… all 3 share a bathroom, and it doubles as the guest bathroom, so keeping it looking tidy is a challenge and a necessity!
I love ours!! It has been almost a year now & it’s still fantastic — no more bottles cluttering up the edge of the tub!
